Health systems around the world are at a critical juncture. Ageing populations, the rise of chronic conditions, widening health inequities, and a projected global shortfall of 11 million health workers by 2030 are placing unprecedented pressure on traditional models of care. More of the same is no longer sustainable.

In response, allied health leaders from across the globe united in 2023 to explore new pathways for collaboration. One year later, at the Inaugural GAHN Summit during the International Allied Health Conference in Singapore (2024), the Global Allied Health Leaders Network was officially launched—marking a bold step forward in global health leadership.

GAHN brings together senior allied health workforce leaders and policymakers to:

  • Strengthen global workforce capacity
  • Share knowledge and innovation
  • Shape future-ready, sustainable health systems

Global data highlights a powerful opportunity: by strategically deploying and optimising the allied health workforce, countries can significantly enhance prevention, rehabilitation, and integrated care—improving outcomes across sectors and communities, building sustainable models of care and driving economic activity.

GAHN exists to help nations fully realise this potential.
