The Directorate of Global Health Partnerships at HEE helps build international partnerships to strengthen health systems and services in England and across the world. We work with partners to plan, educate and train an international health workforce.
Global Health Partnership’s streams:
Technical Collaboration Consultancy services
HEE Global Health Partnerships provides Technical Collaboration Consultancy Services to facilitate system-to-system Human Resources for Health (HRH) capability-building partnerships.
We support global partners and the NHS through health systems strengthening to expand Universal Healthcare coverage (UHC).
The 3 consultancy services include Knowledge exchange, strategic advice, and implementation support.
International Placements and Learning
International Placements and Learning (IP&L) aims to increase the number and quality of global learning opportunities for NHS staff and learners – including international placements and volunteering. This is done as part of the goal to offer global opportunities for the NHS workforce.
International Workforce Supply
The HEE model aims to provide a route to NHS employment which is transparent and candidate-centred, with an educational ‘wrap-around’ to support the transition to the NHS. This often includes support towards UK registration (e.g., NMC OSCE Training or English language).
The co-developed government-to-government agreements and governance provide assurance and accountability to the UK’s partners overseas.
